Nothing. There is no additional cost to setting up a DTIS employer account.

Email the following information to cscenter@dtis.com with “Employer Account Set Up” in the subject line:

  • Full company name (no abbreviations)
  • First and last name of the designated company administrator
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • ORI numbers needed to process your applicants
  • Tax exemption certificate (if applicable)
  • Your DTIS access code (if currently used for payment)
  • Approximate number of applicants fingerprinted per month

Yes. DTIS offers invoicing for high-volume clients processing a minimum of 15 applicants per month or 180 applicants per year. Contact us at cscenter@dtis.com to discuss invoicing options.

Email the new admin user’s first name, last name, and email address to cscenter@dtis.com. Including your company name and any existing admin users associated with the account will help speed up the process.

Your ORI number is determined by the agency requiring the background check and directs where results are sent. Contact the requesting agency directly to confirm your ORI number before registering. Using an incorrect ORI number may require the applicant to repeat the fingerprinting process and pay the associated fees again.

DTIS does not receive results for fingerprints submitted to FDLE. All background check results are sent directly to the agency on record based on the ORI number used on the DTIS fingerprint application. Contact the requesting agency for result status updates.

You can reactivate the application for a free reprint using the TCR (Transaction Control Reference) number from the rejection letter. Follow the steps below:

  • Log in to your DTIS employer account
  • From the left-hand menu under Manage Applications, select Application Search
  • Enter the applicant’s first and last name and click Search
  • Locate the application and click on the Application Identifier
  • Scroll to the bottom of the applicant profile and click the green Unclassifiable button
  • Enter the TCR exactly as it appears on the rejection letter in both fields provided. The TCR is 20 characters long and begins with “E20”
  • Once confirmed, the application status will update to Awaiting Reprint and you will be able to schedule a new fingerprint appointment
