Sumit Thukral is the Vice President, Network and Security Services, for DTIS. In this role, Sumit manages the Information Services and Systems team that is responsible for all DTIS information systems, infrastructure and data processing efforts. He ensures that the DTIS meets all federal requirements and guidelines for the protection of sensitive, personally identifiable information (PII) and other data. 

Sumit is an information security professional who brings more than 25 years of experience to DTIS.  Most recently, Sumit has served lead contractor's project manager on the  Transportation Security Administration's Secure Flight Program.  Previously, he was responsible for project management, technical architecture and security on Daon’s TWIC project, where he oversaw requirements analysis, business process and policy management.

Sumit holds a Bachelor in Information Systems from Bowie State University and a ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.  He is also a Certified SAFe 4 Government Practitioner.
